Research description

Acetic acid water is purified water containing 0.6 % acetic acid. The dilute acid gives a slightly acidic solvent.

In the laboratory it is used as a solvent for reconstituting lyophilised peptides that dissolve poorly in neutral water, and as a diluent in sample preparation.
