Research description

ARA-290 (cibinetide) is a synthetic 11-amino-acid peptide modelled on the three-dimensional structure of helix B of erythropoietin. Unlike erythropoietin, it does not activate the classical erythropoietin receptor.

It is studied in laboratory research on the innate repair receptor, a complex of the erythropoietin receptor with the β-common receptor (CD131), and on tissue-protective signalling in cell and tissue models.
