Research description

Cagrilintide is a synthetic, long-acting analogue of amylin, a 37-amino-acid peptide hormone. It carries a fatty-acid side chain that binds albumin and prolongs its presence in experimental systems.

It is studied in laboratory research on amylin and calcitonin receptors and their signalling in cell and tissue models.
