Research description
Cerebrolysin is a mixture of low-molecular-weight peptides and free amino acids obtained by controlled enzymatic breakdown of purified porcine brain proteins. It is supplied as a solution; its composition is defined by the production process rather than by a single sequence.
It is studied in laboratory research on neurotrophic signalling and neuronal survival in cell-culture and tissue models.
