Cortagen is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Pro) from the group of short regulatory peptides described by V. Khavinson and colleagues.
It is studied in laboratory research on the regulation of gene expression by short peptides in cell-culture models, including neuronal cell lines.
