Research description

FOXO4-DRI is a synthetic D-retro-inverso peptide: a sequence from the transcription factor FOXO4, built from D-amino acids in reversed order, which keeps the side-chain orientation of the original while resisting breakdown by proteases.

It is studied in laboratory research on the interaction between FOXO4 and p53 and on the selective elimination of senescent cells in cell-culture models.
