Research description
Hexarelin (examorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide, His-D-2-methyl-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, a methylated analogue of GHRP-6. It is supplied as the base or as the acetate salt.
It is studied in laboratory research as an agonist of the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) and of the scavenger receptor CD36, in pituitary, cardiac and other cell and tissue models.
