Research description

IGF-DES, des(1-3) IGF-1, is a truncated form of insulin-like growth factor 1 that lacks the first three N-terminal amino acids (67 amino acids in total). The truncation sharply reduces binding to IGF-binding proteins.

It is used in laboratory research on the IGF-1 receptor and growth-factor signalling in cell-culture models.
