Research description

Kisspeptin-10 is the C-terminal decapeptide (residues 45–54, Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH2) of kisspeptin, the product of the KISS1 gene; it is also known as metastin 45-54. It is the shortest form that fully activates the kisspeptin receptor.

It is studied in laboratory research on the kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R, GPR54) and neuroendocrine signalling in cell and tissue models.
