Research description

KPV is the tripeptide lysyl-prolyl-valine (Lys-Pro-Val), the C-terminal sequence of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH).

It is studied in laboratory research on inflammatory signalling, including the NF-κB pathway and peptide uptake by the transporter PepT1, in epithelial and immune-cell culture models.
