Research description

Sterile water is purified water that has been sterilised and contains no preservative or other additive.

In the laboratory it is used as a solvent for reconstituting lyophilised peptides and as a diluent in sample preparation. Because it contains no preservative, an opened vial is intended for a single preparation.
