Research description

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone: the full 44-amino-acid sequence of human GHRH with a trans-3-hexenoyl group attached to the N-terminus, which protects it from enzymatic breakdown.

It is studied in laboratory research on the GHRH receptor and the regulation of growth-hormone secretion in pituitary cell and tissue models.
