Research description

VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) is a 28-amino-acid neuropeptide of the secretin–glucagon family, found in the gut, the nervous system and immune cells.

It is studied in laboratory research on the VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors and their signalling in smooth-muscle, neuronal and immune-cell models.
